I don't wear a watch anymore. I love animal print so I may just have to start wearing one again.

That's the way I make fried chicken, but I just use salt and pepper and I dredge it twice starting with the egg mixture. It makes a nice thick crust.

That exhaustion is testimony enough of how often governments and other officials try to water down the tenets of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. I'm not trying to suggest that every in power is evil. These are the people who are faced with the impossible - doing what's best for a nation, while under intense pressure to achieve amazing results, and also upholding human rights.

People will turn a blind eye to outrages on the other side of the world, as long as they have convenience and don't have to know the details.

I would have never thought to do this until I read your article. Thanks for sharing this information!

FNC told of second 17 year old student has died :( There are no words to truly express the sorrow.
What makes our kids feel they must seek the attention of the world by doing these sorts of things?

I agree with Petunia about being pleased that a doctor admitted that Vitamin D can have benefits for us. I think The Dr. Oz show is perhaps opening up the minds of doctors that natural remedies can be as good, or better even, than prescription drugs in helping our bodies to heal.

Thankfully I live in Florida so we do not really have Winters, however I have noticed that as I get older I do get pains in my knees at times. Never thought it could be related to a Vitamin D deficiency. Even though I live in Florida there are days when I am not exposed at all to sunshine. Good information you have shared here.

Hmmm got me thinking I partly know our human rights and yet me like most everyone is exhausted from the lack of upholding the civil rights of all while some pillage and plunder society. Great wake up call thanks for the reminder. As pcunix stated, what a great idea to have it in the home, what motivation as to our freedoms...

I'm still, well sad, so sad this is still happening and have to talk to my daughters about what to do if they hear shots or sounds of such. Their Dad just took them to the firing range for a lesson in gun safety. It is so very sad. I thought about you and am very glad to see you and your daughter are well this am. Although the school systems say their working hard to address such issues, I feel troubled kids don't go unnoticed, people just turn a blind eye. I've heard countless stories of other class mates talking about the odd behavior of a class mate but rarely see the teachers and or staff address it, privacy or something, if the parents don't ask for help..... Oh my my thoughts and prayers are with the community and youth everywhere!

I haven't tried this before, but it doesn't look that hard. I am sure I could make some nice jewelery.

Very good advice for anyone who wants to travel and see the world on foot.

Eugene, I have deleted your comment. The Ammyy Scam is very well-known.

My apologies if your link was left here in all innocence, but I don't want to take the risk with software that a) I haven't thoroughly tested myself; and b) which has such an horrific reputation amongst my friends.

During my childhood, I had a stuffed giraffe toy. I liked it pretty much. it is good to remember of those little things that meant so much in some period of your life.
Great article!
Thank you!

I'm an urgent cases activist for Amnesty International, so I'm constantly referencing it. I guess it must have left a deep impression on me too!

It sounds like you had a good upbringing to actually have it in the house.

When I read this story yesterday, I cried. I cried for the students at that school and for the families. I believe one of the students died. I also cried because it is just so scary. Like you, I have a daughter in high school and just could not imagine going through that. Not too long ago there was a rumor on facebook that someone was going to bring a gun to my daughter's school. The rumor ended up being unfounded, but the reality is that we just never know. :(

@N_R Did you manage to make it with links to the appropriate headings so the visitor could jump there, or were the contents just a list of module titles?
