This is great! I know how to set up a website, but I never thought about a site specifically to promote your products.

I've always wanted to go to Iceland - as a geologist it would be fascinating! Its not a cheap trip from NZ though LOL

Been following this manga series for ages now and it's great! Great overview! the manga art style is just so interesting and the stories are best when they focus and go their own mythological routes through Japanese sub cultures and with a hint of history beyond the mythology!

Eisteddfod are alive and well in Australia - that was where I cam across them - I must admit I thought that they came from Ireland - given the number of Irish immigrants that came to Oz in the 19th century.

It sounds like a similar story to the Scottish clearances - but sounds like people left "voluntarily" rather than by being removed force-ably by the landowners.

I've never heard of them. Thanks for the article. I'll check them out.

This sounds like so much fun. I think Leo and I would opt for the bus tour. At least in the beginning. You and your husband are very adventurous to take a long weekend and turn it into a trip to Iceland.

@Tim - there are many good platforms on which to write. It is a matter of personal preference which you decide is the most appropriate for your genre of writing, or the available monetizing opportunities available to you on each. If you do not have Adsense then your options are limited.
Wizzley, in my opinion has the best and most diversified of monetizing options. It is therefore open and available to the majority.
You should not take my word for it, but I have stopped writing at HP until such time as they show some capability of alleviating the problems they see themselves in.
And yes you should diversify as much as possible. Both with regard to writing platforms, as well as for your monetizing options. Adsense is not the only game in town. You should try to write for affiliate programs such as Amazon, and if you do decide that Wizzley is a place for you, you should take every advantage offered you with the VigLink / Wizzley collaboration. This I do not believe is available anywhere else. It is probably your best and easiest way of making your writing future profitable, in the shortest time - if you do it right.
Keep an eye out for my next Wizer article which is about the way to set your VigLink affiliation up just right.

I will not go to India alone. That is one place I will not go without a male companion along. I would probably not go alone to Egypt or a few other middle east countries either... there is always safety to consider!

yeah, I definitely agree, Sam. The more treks I do, the more confident I feel on my own... or with just a friend along. But I will probably hit my peak pretty soon and start to want guides again!

Thought this would be a great idea for my gr8 nephew's room - no tacs! Yay! I have followed the directions - first Rust-Oleum's Magnetic paint - 3 thin coats then I did the 2 coats of Rust-Oleum's Chalk Board paint which is in their tinted color of "Banner Blue" - the color on the wall is nothing that is pictured on the box even in the can. It goes on the bright blue but then turns very dark! Also having a hard time with magnets sticking- only flat advertising magnets are working. Haven't tried chalk yet as debating to paint the tinted paint again and then I will have to wait the 3 days as directed to use. Anyone get the color right that is tinted from Rust-Oleum? I have yet to try the "Grape Fizz" in my daughter's room.

Yes, Safety is very important, and that should be the main goal when following regulations. I previously worked for a government division that handled certain inspections, among other things. For those that did not follow the rules, there were some unfortunate and tragic results at times (accidents and injuries).

Thanks herbivore :)

Very thorough explanation of how to read musical notes. Thank you!

I'm feeling guilty now, I just let my cats roam in the wild. I'll have to look into getting one of these. I think if they got into a battle with one of your cats, they'd loose big time!

Thanks for the informative article. I am very new to writing online. Wizzley seems an excellent place to start. I also hear about the importance of diversity; should I consider writing on Squidoo as well. Presumably not HP as it seems no longer in favour.
