Movie Review: Star Trek: Beyond (2016)
StevenHelmer, Thank you for practical information, pretty pictures and product lines. I've seen the three films in this Star Trek trilogy, of which especially the middle one with Benedict Cumberbatch impressed me. Will there be a sequel any ...

Movie Review of The Impossible (2012)
The library system has this film so I'll be seeing it again. It's interesting about the Bechdel Test apparently being more than met with the numbers of female roles, but not really, since only one gets a name. Would a sequel be interesting in ...

Movie Review: Rollerball (2002)
StevenHelmer, Thank you for the practical information, pretty pictures and product lines. The library system here does not have either version of Rollerball among its Blu-ray and DVD collections. Perhaps it's for the very same reasons that the ...

Movie Review: Signs (2002)
StevenHelmer, Thank you for product lines, pretty pictures and practical information. Do you know what character M. Night Shyamalan plays in Signs? I don't recall so I'll have to see this film, which impressed me the first time around. I've ...

Easter Decorations
Re-visiting your article makes me appreciate what I liked the first time around and more. In addition, it makes me realize the charming arrangements and colors of the rabbit lights. I'll use what I got last year in terms of outside decorations ...

Edible Flowers
Thank you for the information about doubling petals linking with scentless-ness, which I don't recall knowing before. I wouldn't want the wines that hopefully I make and turn out to be overwhelmed by another flavor. But what kind of wine would ...

Old and Traditional Recipes of Lancashire, England
Derdriu, That is great news. If deep-fried cod and vinegar fries is on a menu, I have to, just have to order it. I absolutely love it, esp with salt and vinegar on the fries. Glad you liked it.

Old and Traditional Recipes of Lancashire, England
Thank you so much for the traditional Lancashire way of doing cod! Last year, I followed what you said and served the scrumptious result with vinegar-seasoned fries: such a crowd-pleaser! Last night, as a special meal before, but consistent ...

Frank, I am not an expert but as far as i am aware, a clarsach, bows down in the centre at the top but this bows upwards.

Rushbearing at Grasmere in the English Lake District
The harp in the picture looks like an Irish or Scottish clarsach [harp.] Am I right? If it is wire-strung it is Irish; if gut-strung it is Scottish.

Morning Big Bro, Great comments and input TY. It looks as though the history of Rushes could be an article all to itself.

Rushbearing at Grasmere in the English Lake District
I suppose that as carpets became more popular and available rushes, fell from fashion, especially in areas where dry conditions made them scarce. You mention Ireland. The Irish, poverty-stricken through the exactions of parasitic landlordism, ...
