FAVI A3 Wifi and W3 Wifi Pico Pocket Projectors

by TerriRexson

The FAVI A3 and W3 Wifi Pico Projectors are new for 2012. They have an operating system and are like a small PC that uses a projector instead of a screen.

A Mini PC with a Projector for a Screen

The FAVI A3-Wifi and W3-Wifi are mini computers that use a projector for a screen. They also have an integrated touchpad and Wifi support for web access. You can choose between a Windows CE and an Android operating system.

These portable projectors won't be the right choice for everyone, but they're very cool if they do just want you need.

Portable projectors have been popular for a while. It's handy to be able to take your own projector for showing photos, movies and presentations.

But most pocket projectors need an external device connected to them to do anything more than playing media files. You can also connect external devices to the FAVI A3-Wifi and W3-Wifi to project their displays.

FAVI A3-Wifi and W3-Wifi Features

There are lots of pico pocket projectors on the market. What makes the FAVI A3-Wifi and W3-Wifi so special?

These projectors have a mobile operating system built in (like you would find on a tablet or smartphone.) You can choose between Windows CE and Android OS, depending on whether you want a mini-laptop or tablet PC experience.

The projectors also have a built-in touchpad which can be used to navigate the screen. You can use an onscreen touchpad or for much quicker input you can attach a keyboard via USB.

They also have Wifi support. This means that you can connect to a Wifi network for web browsing or downloading files.

These pocket projectors are powerful enough to project in daylight with a strong image (though obviously it will be even clearer in low light.)

FAVI A3-Wifi and W3-Wifi Spec

The FAVI A3-Wifi and W3-Wifi projectors support a screen resolution of 800*600.

They can project an image of up to 100" diagonal or a much smaller image when needed.

The pocket projectors come with 2GB RAM, upgradeable to 32GB should you need it.

The choice of operating system is Windows CE or Android OS. (There are two different devices with different controls, it's not just the OS that is different.)

Who should get a Pico Pocket Projector with an OS?

So who will find a pico pocket projector with a built in operating system useful?

If you need a pocket projector for sharing presentations and media then it's worth considering whether the features of the FAVI A3-Wifi or W3-Wifi be useful to you and therefore worth the extra cost. Would you find it convenient to be able to use the operating system and connect to the web - essentially using the device like a tablet? It's definitely a cool extra feature for pocket projector users.

Do you like the idea of a small PC with a projector for a screen? Since this is such a new product, this usage hasn't really been explored yet. It does look like a useful device to take on vacation, loaded up with some videos and the ability to browse the web from a hotel room. And it takes up very little room in a suitcase. It's definitely a neat gadget if you have just the right needs for it.
