If you're a fan of Grey's Anatomy like I am you don't want one of the usual doctor costumes for Halloween that look like a costume. You want to look like you've just stepped out of Seattle Grace Hospital after your shift on the hospital wards or ER.
To get the costume right then you need to step away slowly from the Halloween costume counter and be more creative. To give you inspiration here's some great Grey's Anatomy Halloween costume essentials that look like (or are) the real thing.
As a surgeon your scrubs are an essential item. This makes them a must have for Halloween.
You may not believe it but real medical scrubs are cheaper than the costume version. They're better quality. They're realistic. They also come in a wide selection of colors.
These scrubs are exactly the same style as worn by the Seattle Grace surgical team. So they're the first step of creating a Halloween Grey's Anatomy costume that makes you look like you've come straight from doing a complicated surgery (or fighting over who gets the complicated surgery).
Blue is the classic color for a Grey's Anatomy scrub (unless you're Addison). But if you want to be realistic but have your own creative flair there's plenty of other colors to choose from.

The next thing on your list to create your Grey's Anatomy Halloween costume is the surgical white coat. Although you can go without this item it does finish the look off. This coat makes you look like you're in the middle of rounds or rushing into an important hospital meeting (after the chief's job aren't you?)
This one is the nicest one I could see and is part of the Grey's Anatomy range. So it's not an actual lab coat used by real medical staff. I didn't think the real lab coats looked as nice as this one. But Amazon does have real medical lab coats in stock too if you want to keep this costume item realistic.
This stethoscope is a real medical stethoscope. It's not a toy or a costume item. Being a medical product it finishes your costume off with a 100% realistic flair. (It seems a shame to spoil the realistic look with a toy stethoscope unless you really want that mixed look.)
Medical stethoscopes aren't expensive either. So ditch the toy and costume department and head for medical supplies at Amazon. (As a bonus you can get different colored stethoscopes too. I've just chosen the classic black one here because it's commonly seen around the corridors of Seattle Grace Hospital.)

Oh no don't tell me LOL!!!!! I got behind in my watching and I've had to do catch up with DVDs. I haven't got up to the current series yet. I love Grey's. It's the only medical drama I watch. A Grey's Anatomy character would have to be on my top pick list for Halloween but I don't like the Halloween scrub costumes. The real thing is so much better :D
I love Grey's Anatomy, wonder who's gonna survive the plane crash? I bet Christine and Meredith make it out as for the rest I'm not sure. I'd love to dress up as a greys anatomy doctor for Halloween. Thanks for the idea. :)K
