Lego City Birthday Party Supplies

Lego City is one of LEGO Group's Lego themes that centers around popular city life sets like police stations, fire stations, and construction sites.  Included in the sets are minifigures featuring policemen, firefighters, doctors, along with many others that fit each set's theme.

Interestingly, the city set themes have gone under many different names before Lego City.  In 1978, the first minifigures were released under the name Lego Town.  Legoland, Lego Town Junior, and Lego World City would all later be used to market the city themed sets.  The sets wouldn't be released under the Lego City theme until 2005.

Lego City sets range in price from as low as $5 to as much as $100 and above.

The coolest thing about Lego bricks is that you don't necessarily have to create the themes that the bricks came with.  The Lego bricks are meant to be compatible with other themes so that the you can mix & match to create your own sets.  For some, this has spawned an art form.

An excellent place to check out some of the best Lego art is TheBrickBlogger.com.  Often, TheBrickBlogger.com will feature articles that showcase some of the most amazing Lego creations.  For example, pictured left is the Detroit Fisher Building recreated by Jim Garrett all in Lego bricks.

Another amazing creation is the Model Train Show LEGO Layout by Dave & Stacey Sterling. The overall detail is simply insane.  It's a sure bet that both the planning and construction of the set took a considerable amount of time.
