We bought these Matryoshka Madness Ninja nesting dolls for my three year old son for Christmas. He had been fascinated by a traditional Russian doll set at his cousin's house and he's fascinated by Lego Ninjago and all things Ninja.
The set was a big hit with my son and everyone else who visiting. From toddler through to granny this set appealed to a wide age range.
The dolls are made from child-safe ABS plastic and have a nice smooth feel to them. We really liked the attention to detail. Each Ninja figure is different. You get a generous 6 dolls and even the smallest Ninja opens splits in half.
My son like to play Ninja families with them. He likes to try and stack the bases (tricky!) and we were treated to a wonderful sketch called the Serious Ninjas that had everyone laughing uncontrollably. Definitely a great gift.
As well as having lots of play value for little kids, the Matryoshka Madness dolls are cool enough for even the most style conscious tweens and teens and made a great gift for adults who like quirky designs too.
You can collect thw whole range of Matryoshka Madness dolls and mix and match them for lots of fun.
Did you like the Matryoshka Madness Nesting Dolls?
Love the Ninja dolls but I also love the traditional Matryoshka dolls too. I'd love to have a set of Hobbits or some characters from 'The Lord of the Rings.'
I love the robots! I had a set of nesting dolls as a child, and I loved them. What is it about the small to large continuum that appeals to us? These are winners.
I haven't seen the more modern Matryoshka dolls. I love the robots. I visited Russia many years ago and purchased one of the more traditional ones. My cats love knocking it over and batting around all of the pieces!
