Monster Birthday Party Favor Ideas

Get some great ideas for monster birthday party favors

Monsters are a hit with kids regardless of whether they're stars in Monsters Inc or just your everyday monster. But if you are looking for fun monster birthday party favors you will find a lot for the well known monsters. Sesame Street. Monsters Inc. Monster High. But you'll need to search a little harder to find monster favors that aren't in these themes.

So (as I was a big monster fan as a child) I thought I'd track down some fun monster style party favors featuring your everyday, friendly monsters.

Soft Monster Toy Favors

These are very cute and friendly looking monsters to pop into a birthday favor box or bag. (They've got a big smile on their face so their not too scary.) They're brightly colored and the set has different styles so you're not giving all the kids the same one.

The monsters are about 4" big. So small enough to pop into a party bag or box but also big enough to have fun with.

They come in a set of 12 plush monsters. So that's about $1.30 for each soft toy. Good value I think.

Monster Paddle Balls

Paddle balls are fun (as well as being good toys for teaching hand-eye coordination).

These monster paddle balls are colorful and fun looking. The monsters on these are also friendly creatures with big grins.

They come in a set of 12 which works out to about 40 cents for each monster birthday party favor. Brilliant for keeping costs down while giving the party kids a goody bag they'll love.

Monster Lollipops

It's great when you can find themed candy or cookies to go into the goody bag. These lollipops are actually Halloween treats but they would be great for a monster birthday party theme too.

These monster lollipops are colorful and individually wrapped so they won't get other things in the treat bag sticky. (You also don't need to spend time wrapping them up in cellophane before you pop them in the bag.)

They work out at about 50 cents for each lollipop favor.

Monster Squeakers

These Goofy Monster Squeakers are a new update for this article. When I saw them I just had to add them to this list of monster party favors.

They're quirky and bright looking. They make a noise. They also have a really fun novelty feel about them. So the kids at your party will love getting them.

They also come in packs of 12 so they're easy to stock up on for your party bags.

Monster Puzzles

These are a just a fun puzzle (rather than a puzzle that needs thinking) where kids can twist the puzzle to mix and match different parts of a monster body to create different monsters. It's a fun toy to have as a birthday party favor.

The monsters on these puzzles are also in the same friendly monster style as the other monster favor ideas.

Cost wise it's good for a puzzle too. They work out to about 90 cents for each puzzle.

Monster Bendable

Kids love bendable toys and you can get them in monster style. These cute, smiley monsters actually look like they could be monster family members to the soft toy monsters I talked about first.

These bendable monsters are 3 1/4" tall and 3 1/2" wide. They are made of plastic and kids can bend them in all directions. So they're another fun favor idea to have at a monster party.

These monster birthday party favors are sold separately for just under $1.

Monster Stickers

You can't have a monster party goody bag without some monster stickers.

These Silly Monster Stickers are a good pick for a monster birthday party favor. They're funny and brightly colored. They're also from Dover who I really like. Best of all though when you're working to a budget, they're nice and cheap.

More Sticker Party Favor Ideas

You can also get some fun sticker single monster design stickers. These come in sheets of 20 stickers and of course each child only needs one of these stickers in their party bag.

Other Fun Ideas for Your Monster Party

Don't forget to include the monster theme in your birthday party invitations. Another fun idea is to use a monster stamp to send the invitations. This is a real novelty because few party organizers think of doing this. It also starts the monster fun as soon as the child has the envelope in their hand.

But the stamps I've shown here are only good if you live in the USA.
