Even though Halloween only lasts for a day, you can enjoy the Halloween-y elements and atmosphere all month long with decorations.

Costumes come in all sorts of categories from scary to funny, cute and just plain odd. You can start planning on what you’re going to be weeks or even a month or two in advanced.

This will give you plenty of time to get great ideas and inspiration for your Halloween look. Plus, if you happen to order your costume online and find out that it’s not the right one or doesn’t fit well, you’ll have more than enough time to send it back and get a new one or make alterations.

You can’t forget about the trick-or-treaters for this holiday was especially made for them, the sweet tooth children who will wow you with their creepy costumes and adorable outfits.

Be sure to buy the candy before the suppliers run out of all the good varieties, which usually happens on the day of Halloween. You don’t want to be known as the person who gives out the candy that nobody likes.

And if you want to make the treats, use allergy friendly ingredients so the majority of kids can have them, or you can think outside of the box and hand out little Halloween toys or store bought treats wrapped in a decorated treat bag.
