Planning A Hallloween Party

by pkmcr

Are you planning a Halloween Party this year? What do you need to consider? Make sure you don't forget anything with our halloween party planning guide. Make it the best party!

Halloween is such an awesome celebration and compared to other holidays, planning your Halloween Party can be a lot more fun than stressful.

Maybe it’s because of all the scary yet exciting elements, or the fact that everything can be covered in fake blood. Whatever it is about this one spooky night, it sure is fun getting ready for. Here you will find some great tips that’ll help you plan for the Halloween festivities and your Halloween Party.

To be honest, whether you’re attending a school function, a friend’s Halloween party, or planning your own special spooky get together, it’s good to start planning and inviting at least 2 to 3 weeks before the date so everyone can free up their schedules.

This will also allow you to buy or make your costume, make party preparations, decorate for the event, and create one of a kind, unique dishes that’ll really have your guests squirming (but in a good way, maybe).

With these tips you make the most of the scariest night of the year.

Buy Your Halloween Party Decorations

Even though Halloween only lasts for a day, you can enjoy the Halloween-y elements and atmosphere all month long with decorations.

Decorate your home, inside and out with cobwebs, spiders, ghosts and more. Choose a theme if you’d like everything in your home to coordinate.

You can buy your decorations online or you can make them yourselves for fun at-home craft projects the entire family can take part in.

Don’t forget about your Jack-O-Lanterns. Sprinkle a few of these in front of your house and inside for that traditional Halloween-Fall look.

Decide On Your Halloween Costumes

This might be one of the harder, if not the hardest decision you have to make during Halloween.

Costumes come in all sorts of categories from scary to funny, cute and just plain odd. You can start planning on what you’re going to be weeks or even a month or two in advanced.

This will give you plenty of time to get great ideas and inspiration for your Halloween look. Plus, if you happen to order your costume online and find out that it’s not the right one or doesn’t fit well, you’ll have more than enough time to send it back and get a new one or make alterations.

Buy Halloween Candy Gifts(or Make Them)

You can’t forget about the trick-or-treaters for this holiday was especially made for them, the sweet tooth children who will wow you with their creepy costumes and adorable outfits.

Be sure to buy the candy before the suppliers run out of all the good varieties, which usually happens on the day of Halloween. You don’t want to be known as the person who gives out the candy that nobody likes.

And if you want to make the treats, use allergy friendly ingredients so the majority of kids can have them, or you can think outside of the box and hand out little Halloween toys or store bought treats wrapped in a decorated treat bag.

Have Your Camera Ready

You’ll want to document every moment of such an exciting Halloween Party celebration.

Capture amazing photos like children dressed up as ghosts and goblins walking around your neighborhood, or the eerie food display at your friend’s party which features severed fingers and eyeballs, or the terrifying decorations at the haunted house that looks to real to be fake, or the awesomeness that is your homemade Mr. Potato Head costume.

You’ll be able to look back on the pictures and remember all the fun times.

@jptanabe me too - candy always seems appropriate to eat doesn't it :-)

I can think about Halloween candy any time of year! Not quite ready for Halloween in other ways yet, but I do enjoy it.

@kimbesa I know what you mean - no sooner does June come around than we are thinking about the end of the year!

I guess I should think about Halloween, but it's tough. My brain is just getting shifted for back to school. I'll bet there are some cool new things coming out for this year.
