Product Description: Frozen oriental-style dish from the Tai Pei brand consisting of meatballs, rice and vegetables and prepared in the microwave. I purchased a container of this product at one of our local grocery stores yesterday evening for $2. I ended up preparing it, in the microwave, last night and serving it as part of dinner-for-two with my wife.

Review
My daughters really wanted pizza for dinner last night but my wife and I both weren't overly enthused about that choice. So, while I let them have a frozen pizza, my wife and I decided to make some of the egg rolls and dumplings we had in our freezer.
I wasn't sure if that was going to be enough so I wound up stopping at the store after work in search of something to go with them. I ended up purchasing this product primarily because it was only $2 and because it looked somewhat different. After having it last night, my overall opinion was a bit mixed.
There were a couple things I did find I liked about this product. This includes the convenience. All I had to do to prepare this food was remove the plastic and microwave the entire container for a few minutes. As I've said before, convenience always scores points with me, especially when I don't have to pay a premium for it.
I also thought the meatballs had a good taste to them. At first, I was concerned they would be too spicy because they smelled like they would be. But, they had a decent-enough flavor that wasn't bland but also didn't cross any lines as far as spices go.
My biggest complaint about this product was the quantity. I suspect this was meant to be for just one person, largely because the container was only half full. However, even if that was the case, I thought the quantity was still a bit lacking.
I was especially disappointed to discover there were only three very small meatballs inside the container. If I had known that, I'm not sure I would have even made the purchase considering I didn't buy this product for the vegetables and, since I was sharing with my wife, we ended up only having 1 1/2 meatballs each.

Final Opinion
It's an OK product that, at least when it was on sale last night, had a decent price. However, while I did enjoy the taste, the lack of quantity, especially with the meatballs, would make me think twice about purchasing this again.

StevenHelmer, Thank you for practicalities and product line and picture.
Variable liquid and solid levels in drink and food containers concern me. If I can see the level, such as is the case with milk gallons, I go for the highest to get the most for the price. When I learn about the level only after opening, such as would be the case here, I sometimes ponder whether it's some glitch in mechanized, robotized assembly lines and other containers serve more.
What were the spices that smelled, but didn't taste, off-putting?
