I enjoyed this as well. It's interesting to read about the British Isles, and it's surprising to know there's a place so remote and wild, which can have heavy snowfall. A lot of us in America think of these islands as very temperate.

Thanks. Kathleen. Sutcliffe used to visit the places in her novels, which must have been hard as she was an lifelong invalid. I suspect that she went up from the Conwy side, where there is road access.
