Working From Home is My Dream Come True
Thanks, Pam! I'm rather overworked these days but I do try to make time for Zazzle and for promoting those items. The fact that people are pinning and buying some of them is a good signal.

How to Handle an Emotionally Immature Adult
I lived with someone like this for far too long. Now that I am away from him, I see it so clearly, but at the time it was sometimes hard to figure out what his problem was. You are so right to say that they don't listen. It's their way ...

Fall Smoothie with Butternut Squash and Plums
Wow, you soup sounds good. If you add tomatoes and white pepper, it's definitely turned into a warm, savory soup. I have also tried though Hungarian cold peach soup and now wonder about sweet cold soups.

Working From Home is My Dream Come True
@Nate .. thank you! @Mira - glad to hear that Zazzle is working out for you. It can be a slow go at first. I no longer spend 10 hours a day at it. I did that when I rented a place and had little else to spend my time on. I hope you will make ...

Glimpses of a Farm that Once Was: A Photo Collection

Workout for the Dole
Sounds good. Dancing? Couldn't there be work for the dole that pays already existing businesses to take on people. May be $1 for $1 Apprenticeships work like this. No? Jo

How Scotland was Forced into Union with England
I agree with the view expressed by John Seymour. He was asked by a group of Irish soldiers why he, an Englishman, was enthusiastically singing Irish rebel songs. He said, "You are singing about what the British government did to you 300 years ...

How Scotland was Forced into Union with England
Unfortunately I'm not an economist (and I'm really bad with maths!), so I can't comment very well on issues of the currency. All I know is that historically Scotland's wealth has poured into Westminster and it has largely been used to benefit ...

Charities - to give or not to give?
I think this is the right approach to charity giving - donate only when you can clearly see what your money is spent for
