These are lovely, ohcaroline!

Yes, we had a lot of fun. I remember a wagon we played with as kids.

I remember when Flat Stanley went from our house to visit our grandmother in Medicine Hat, Alberta. She showed him a good time.

I have always been fascinated by "spirit" photography. In fact, I even own a photograph which appears to show an angel in the background. While I will agree, most of these are likely a hoax, I do think there is some truth to the possibility of photographing spirits. What ever would make us think we are here alone?

Well, I did peek at the contest page before I commented, so that rules me out of the contest with you. But I am off to join Xobba! I have not been active at Hubpages in a while, but I recognize Sunforged - and I do believe that these sites that are being created by our fellow writers are destined for success - Wizzley, Webnuggetz, Nezi stores, and now Xobba.
I like having a wide variety of places to write and learn.

It is so nice that you seem so happy and have found something you truly enjoy doing. I have not read your article yet on Squidoo about living with leukemia, but plan to soon. I can't even imagine how difficult that must be. It sounds like you have a fantastic, loving wife and you two make a great team. I look forward to learning more about you and reading your articles. All the best to you!

Thanks for the comments. I really think the key is no drama and sticking with it, which is why a sensible and slow plan will win in the long run.

This is very interesting information about spirit photography. I've thought the idea of real spirit photography was intriguing, but figured it was probably a hoax.

Well, those babies are cute. Love the photos with your cats! I wouldn't want them that close to my house though!

What a wonderful idea! The children at the summer camp where I work made solar ovens this summer from cardboard boxes and aluminum foil. I am sure they would work fine for baking Lumberjack Cookies.

There were a lot of hilarious episodes...there's one where Ethel and Lucy are making cakes in a factory...

you had me at the pic of the baby and yourself..pinch that little head for me...but have to admit I love this stuff (the dump cake) so much hubby and I had to take a holiday from it...it was starting to show lol literally!!! but hey, its been a while...2 days is a while isnt it?....so I think I will do it again...I havent done the pineapple and cherries actually...dont know how I missed that one :)

thank you nightbear...wonder why they only remember the batches that caused near death experiences???????
kids today ain't got no sense of adventure!!!!!

Thanks for this interesting article. Great to learn about the history of golf, the golfers and course designers we should remember.

I too have one of the original prints of "Starlight". Seems to have been a limited production as (until your post) hadn't come across any mention of this particular print. I was living in Alberta when my mother bought it - some 50 years ago; I emigrated to NZ and still have the picture and like you am curious as to it's value.
