Dinosaur Train Toys

Do you know a child who loves Dinosaur Train? My boys love the show - its bright, full of dinosaurs and educational too. 

There's a good range of Dinosaur Toys available for fans of the show including new Uncle Milton toys that have a science theme to encourage the littlest scientists. 

In this article we'll cover the new Uncle Milton toys and the hightlights of the Learning Curve Dinosaur Train toys. Lots of fun to be had with Buddy, Tiny and the gang. 

The Cretoxyrhina, prehistoric sharks, are a favorite with my boys and the InterAction figures have been very popular, so let's start with an InterAction Cretoxyrhina. 

Mr Cretoxyrhina has 50 Dino sounds and phrases and his eyes bulge and his jaw chomps. 

The erupting volcano is a classic early science experiment. This Old Smoky Volcano comes with instructions on how to make it erupt using common household ingredients. 

I found it very difficult to find a good toy volcano to go with toy dinosaurs. This volcano fills that gap. Dinosaurs and volcanoes just go together. This toy works well with the Dinosaur Train collectible figures as a playset. 

Great for reanacting episodes from the show. 

The Dinosaur Train Mechanical Weighing Scales are a great idea. This is a Dinosaur Train treatment of the classic weighing scale toy. 

This is the Train Station Scale. It comes with a set of Dinosaur Train weights which you fill with pennies to get to the right weight (be sure to have some pennies around to set this toy up.)

Kids can then compare different weights and learn the basics of weight, which is heavier, which two weights are the same as one other weight. 

Hehe, we like the humor in this one. It's a Dinosaur Train Ned Brachiosaurus Periscope. The Brachiosaurus is know for its very long neck. 

Ned's long neck forms the periscope in this toy with the top opening as his mouth. A periscope is great for learning a bit of science - you can show how the light comes in through Neds mouth and bounces out of the viewer. 

Fun for seeing the action in crowds too. 

This is a great fun way to learn what paleontologists do! The Dinosaur Train Dino Poop isn't really dinosaur poop, it's soft play dough. 

Inside the dough you'll find out what the dinosaurs ate - the evidence is different for canivores and herbivores. Kids will love finding the remains of each dinosaur's last meal. 

You can use the bones or plants that you find to make your own fossil imprints in the dough. 

If you're child doesn't yet have any InterAction dinosaurs then Buddy is a good start to a collection. These toys make sounds, many have movements and they know when another InterAction toy is close so they can interact. 

The InterAction toys work best if you have more than one. Buddy and Tiny are good value and of course the main characters in the show. Boris is really big and a popular chocice. 

There are lots of Dinosaur Train figures to collect. They are great for recreating favorite episodes from the show and learning about different types of dinosaur.

The Dinosaur Train Take Flight 10 Figure Backpack is a great way to build up a collection. You get 10 different prehistoric flying creatures.

The Old Spinosaurus is a big favorite in our house. Here he comes with Buddy and his Mom, Mrs Pteranodon. (If you don't know how a T-Rex can have a Pteranodon Mom then watch the show!)

Dinosaur Train cars make the perfect collectible for fans of the show. Buddy and Tiny and the others travel through time on the Dinosaur Train to visit dinosaurs from other times to learn about them and make friends.

No Dinosaur Train is complete without Mr The Conductor. Each car is themed to one of the dinosaur train characters and includes a mini-figure who fits inside. You can join the carriages together to make a train and there is a matching engine too. 

There are lots of Dinosayr Train cars to collect, each with their own character figure.
