This is really sweet of you Jo. I'm really interested in WWI and I'll try to get on board. I've got some ideas swirling in my head that I'll try to get on paper in time.

I just wrote a post about our possible collaboration for the centenary and I am looking forward to it. So we as a big family get to know each other better... as I think of Pagewizz and Wizzley as one entity and one big community. Without you I would not be where I am now :). And Joe: I almost turned red because you mentioned me in your book about Wizzley :P.

At first I thought it'd be a very difficult subject for me to write content on as, well, I'm not a historian, nor have I ever actually studied WW1 in that much detail before, but after some consideration it's really not as narrow as it might seem.

For me, it's very applicable to gaming. A large portion of them are based around WW1 and I've often wondered to myself how accurate they are in comparison to the real events. There's not that much content online about this, so it could be interesting. Plus it would only be focusing on a couple of the battles, so the research wouldn't be too heavy.

I think a lot of people are going to be worried that you need to be some super duper historian to write about this, but so long as you check your facts and research (I'm sure Jo would be okay with confirming a fact or two if you're unsure!), it's a topic accessible by all.

There is Napoleon Total War Mod about WW1 ;) It is called The Great War.

Joe Harrington schlug eine Zusammenarbeit von Wizzley und Pagewizz vor, da am 28. Juni 1914 der erste Weltkrieg begann. Dementsprechend stellt dies ein Großereignis dar und sie meint wir sollten Daten für Artikel zu diesem Ereignis austauschen und auch gegenseitig die Artikel eventuell übersetzen um alle zusammen ein Stück vom Kuchen zu bekommen. From my (WordChazer's) point of view, and having offered my services as translator, the one thing I would caution is Chef's words about Google not liking translations, considering them as duplicate content (even given my liberal antics in translating pieces over the years!). The articles on Wizzley might have to be using PageWizz as reference rather than being a straight translation and vice versa.

On monday start my holidays and then I am going to write a couple of articles about the different tank-prototypes of WW1 and I am going to sight my material about WW1.

When the articles are online on tuesday I'll provide a link for you to translate them.

I will post my progress here in this thread for everyone to follow and to translate and share material.
