Newly released books in their favorite genre or my their favorite author are good. But how about some aspirational books. Could they set up their own business, would they like to start a hobby like painting?

A magazine subscription is a lovely idea. Amazon have a great range of magazine subscriptions that you can give as a gift. You can even schedule a gift email.

You can also print out a gift notification card on your printer - Amazon provides this. What you can now do is pop out to a local store and get a copy of the current issue of the magazine. You can wrap this issue up together with the gift notification card.

Choose a magazine that the recipient loves but can't afford to buy regularly. Or one that fits with a hobby they have.
