Walking in Langdale
All I can say is that the country side of United Kingdom is stunning. I love to take long walks that connect me to Nature, sadly the place I live is urban, full of people, buildings, dust and pollution. This was not what old Bangalore - the ...

Quasi-sensory experiences: religious visual and auditory phenomena
I view any quasi sensor experience, vision and illusion with a cautious eye, though I believe in spiritual experiences of extreme nature which science cannot explain. The reason is very obvious, people who have achieved higher stages of ...

Tryfan and the Glyders: One of Wales' Toughest Walks
The mountains and the terrain are beautiful and tempting. The wilderness is fascinating, though I am not so fit I would love to visit these stunning places. I am an admirer of brave people like mountain climbers and adventurers who explore ...

Smart and Easy Winter Skin Care Regimen
I have used Dove soap for years. Just the plain old bar soap. I have it in the shower and at all of the sinks in the house. It keeps my skin from drying out. I do have to use the unscented version, the traditional scent gives me a headache

The Semi-Mythical Maelgwn Gwynedd Pt 5
Indeed. Gwynne Williams says that "Welshmen became citizens, merchants, and knights" under the Normans, and mentions Mortimer having some involvement with Strata Florida - so they were not just ...

The Semi-Mythical Maelgwn Gwynedd Pt 5
Also, I think it quite likely that the Normans wouldn't know a Celt from an axe-head. We it is who have created this thing called "Celtic society", and I imagine that then loyalties were mainly ...

Madness! Mexican Gay Wedding Blocked by Christian Agitators Challenging Grooms' Sanity
I'm nodding right along with you in agreement here. It does seem incredible to me that such laws aren't applied universally.

Increasing Incidents of Stray Dog Menace in India
Animal rights activists take a very rosy, unrealistic view of animals, and while they have a valid case against animal cruelty, some animals are a danger, and the principle of self-defence gives us a right to kill them if necessary.
When I ...

Madness! Mexican Gay Wedding Blocked by Christian Agitators Challenging Grooms' Sanity
It is essential that gay couples enjoy the same legal protection as heterosexual couples. That their home country would not honour a wedding from another part of the country is morally wrong and a serious flaw in Mexico's political system.

Yerba Mate Tea
No, I've heard of it, but never have tried it. It's interesting to read about this "tea."

Increasing Incidents of Stray Dog Menace in India
That is truly terrifying. Rabies is such a scary disease. Here if here is a report of a rabid wild animal, dozens of trained men are sent to look for it. I don't know what the solution for India is.
