lakeerieartists - patience is very critical when dealing with someone who has Alzheimer's, or you will indeed get very frustrated. I a glad that were able to find a way of communicating with her that worked. That always makes it easier.

My mother in law didn't have Alheimer's but a form of dementia. With her, it was best to calmly repeat the answer over and over because she did forget what we said. However, some family members had a lot of trouble not getting frustrated.
