Google Social Networking

Once we get set up on Google+ what's the best to get family and friends who are only on FB interested in another social network? So many are suspicious of all things Google, and others it was hard enough to lure onto FB. Or do we mostly take our on line only friends from our writing sites and our business connections to Google+ and then leave FB for only people we know in real life? Any suggestions?

@Jimmie, yes the benefits are many, and there are hardly any drawbacks.

Google Social Networking

Barb "hangouts", lets up to 10 users simultaneously video chat with each other.
So it is a unique feature nobody else has it.
Just imagine VIDEO Chat with 10 people in the same time... LOL

Both Barb and Jimmie send my your ... @gmail.com (Google email address), and I'll send an invite, you have to have a Google email address.

Still waiting for my invite. I'm a Yahoo mail user, (not gmail) maybe that's why I'm not getting one?

Summer Activities: Start a Community Garden

Would love to have access to a community garden. What a great way to foster relationships and be frugal all at once.

How To Host A Local Tweetup

What an excellent wizz! I've never heard of Tweetups. I love this idea and will keep my ears open for word of one here in my area.

Kids Craft Supplies - Ideas for your Craft Box

My essentials would be similar to yours. I'd add craft sticks, though. My daughter LOVES those. We do lots of crafts at home. I saw an ad for a STORE that allows kids to come in and do all the crafts they want for a fee. People were raving about what a great idea that is. The supplies available were the things you've listed above, things I consider staples for a craft cabinet. I was mystified that anyone would GO somewhere and pay money to do simple crafts. The big plus was the fact that the moms didn't have to clean up. Sad. Some things are well worth the clean up.

Thank you, Michey! I am glad that you are pleased! The first photo is of my friend, John Calvert, when he was in his mid-70s, lifting a man during one of his performances. He will be 100 years young on August 5th! :) I love the photo of you and your mother...it was perfect for my article! Love to you both!

Wow! Jeanie your writing is so beautiful and deep and full of wisdom words of a person who care, give, and love entire her life. You are right, without to say directly you gracefully imply that we have to respect, love elderly, and be happy to have them with us in our lives.
I am humble to see that you chose to publish the picture of my beautiful mother representing an intimate moment when we laugh and hold hands ... and if some wrinkles was added, let be it, because that moment was a happy one for both of us.
Thanks for a graceful post, I love the poems as well
All the best Michey

Google Social Networking

I'd love to try, but don't yet have an invite (hint, hint.) Someone on Twitter said he'd send me one but after a week I still haven't gotten it. I really like the circles feature. Still don't really understand the "hang-outs," but I don't chat much, either, since so much time is usually wasted while people enter and leave saying hello and goodbye.
