Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix Features More Than Just Cactus
I've never visited a garden in the desert, but being born and raised in Southern CA I went to places like Vegas, Arizona and Palm Spring a number of times and saw lots of desert. Cool pictures!

Veronica Bright Welcome to My World
Vee, I did not realize you have 10 children! I do remember when the grands were living with you, I think - or maybe I just read about that. I always enjoy reading about your work with the Lakotas. I am glad you are at Wizzley!

Live Wire by Harlan Coben
Hi, Carol. Thanks so much for stopping by my ... wizzley? Well, page. So I wanted to come over and see what you've been up to so far over here. This sounds like a good read, and I've added it to my list of books to look for at the library. I ...

Good Questions To Ask In An Interview
Good advice, it's not impressive to sit like a dummy when you're asked if you have any questions. I can remember being embarrassed at interviews when I first started work when I was asked this.

How To Find Due South Using the Sun at Any Time of Day
That is really interesting. I'd never heard of calculating longitude using a fist. If it was late morning here in the UK, I'd be outside trying your method.

Live Wire by Harlan Coben
No, I hadn't thought of listing the Harlan Coben's work but, now that you mention it, that would be a good idea. If you haven't read any of the earlier books, I think you can still enjoy his later novels but, of course, it does add to the story ...

Nicholas de Grandmaison
What beautiful portraits. He seems to have really captured the characters of the people. Thank you for introducing him as I've never heard of him or seen his work.

Fanfreluche collects all sorts of things
I really enjoyed reading this. My Cousin Edna tried to get me interested in collecting things. First it was American coins, and she got me a lot of those blue coin albums. I did that for a couple of years, but lost interest later on. I did ...

Live Wire by Harlan Coben
Sounds like something I'd enjoy, but I always like to start with the first book by an author if the books are such that you will enjoy later books more if you've read them in order. Have you thought of listing the books by this author in a ...

Yoga for Seniors - Aging Well With Yoga
I'm afraid I'm one of those who looks at the pictures on the book covers -- even for the aging crowd, and think "That's just not me." I enjoy walking, but I hate any kind of exercise class because it's hard for me to imitate what the teacher is ...

Cell Phone Towers That Look Like Trees
We used to pass an evergreen tree/cell phone tower while driving along the highway in New Hampshire. It's obviously different from the rest of the trees -- as you say, less graceful. But when you aren't looking for it, it does blend in rather ...
