Dora the Explorer Party Favor Ideas for Toddlers

by SusanM

Which Dora the Explorer party favors are the best ones for toddlers?

Dora the Explorer is a big hit with kids and a common theme for birthday parties. So there's lots of Dora party favors about. But not all of these are suitable for toddlers. This is because some Dora favors are really meant for preschoolers and young school age kids.

So what can you pop into a party favor bag when your party goers are mostly toddlers?

Classic Party Favor Idea

What About Stickers?

Stickers are loved by all kids, including toddlers.

Some toddlers might need a little help at home to peel off the stickers although they're usually quite determined to do things themselves. But whether they need help or not toddlers do love playing with stickers.

Now a toddler with a book full of stickers will need to be supervised. Unless parents want to find Dora stickers in interesting places. But toddlers need to be closely supervised anyway so it shouldn't be a big problem.

So all in all there stickers aren't a bad idea for a Dora party favor bag that toddlers will enjoy - just as long as their parents know they're in there.

Party Favors for Fun Play

Dora Bath Toys

These Dora the Explorer Squirters are a fun idea for bath time. They're also a fun idea for toddler sized birthday party favors.

Toddlers are fascinated about the world, including water. What floats? How far can this squirt? Finding out the answers to these questions through play is a great learning experience for them.

These are a good size for little toddler hands to hold and squeeze. They're also very cute - and they will look cute in your party bag too.

And of course as we all know toddlers need to be supervised around any water for safety.

Dora Bubbles

Blowing bubbles is another activity toddlers just love.

Whether it's trying to blow bubbles themselves (not always successfully at this age but it's still fun for them). Or chasing bubbles someone else has blown it's all fun for them.

So these little Dora bubble sets could be perfect.

They come in packs of 4 too so it's easy to collect what you need to fill the party bags.

BUT the recommended age for these bubble sets is 8 years and up. Now I haven't seen these bubble sets. So I can only say the bubble idea is good for toddlers. So you will need to have a good look at them before you pop them into any favor bags. You will need to check that they're non-toxic bubble solution and that there's nothing there that might be a choking or safety risk. If you have any doubt it would be best to go with a bubble set made for toddlers - even if it's not a Dora one.

Dora Stamps for Invitations

This is a fun idea for party invitations that toddlers can enjoy too. Although mom or dad will need to open and read the actual invitation for a toddler it still makes it special to use a Dora the Explorer stamp to send it with.

Toddlers will be pretty quick to spot Dora on the envelope which makes getting the invitation special for them. It might even make them curious about what a stamp is. This makes getting the invitation a learning experience too.

You can get a few Dora stamp designs - but they're only for use in the USA.
