The Orc Forge Lego 9476 - Orcs of Mordor

Lego 9476 The Orc Forge is one of the medium-sized sets in the 2012 Lord of the Rings Lego theme. 

This is a purely evil set with none of the Fellowship featured. We're in Saruman's territory. The Mordor Orc's are preparing for war. 

The Lego Orc Forge is a model of the blacksmith equipment in the caverns under Isengard. 

This is based on the Treason of Isengard scene in the Fellowship of the Ring movie.

There's a lot of equipment to build in this set to recreate the underground forge.  You get a winch with a bucket, a chute and furnace which has a LEGO light brick. 

The Lego Orc Forge set is available to order from the Lego Store and other retailers from Summer 2012. 

The Orc Forge

This set is going to be popular with Orc collectors! You get 4 Mordor Orc minifigures: Uruk-hai general Lurtz, 1 Uruk-hai and 2 Mordor orcs. In the Lord of the Rings middle earth there are many different kinds of Orc during the third age. 

The Mordor Orcs are different from the Goblins in the Mines of Moria set, and different from the Uruk-hai too (Sauruman created the Uruk-hai from some of the Mordor Orcs.)

The Mordor Orcs are under Saruman's command building weapons for the Uruk-hai army. (Sadly we don't get a Saruman minifigure in this set.)

In the Fellowship of the Ring movie timeline the Orcs Forge appears after the Attack on Weathertop and before the Mines of Moria. It's an important foreshadowing scene showing what the fellowship will have to face as they approach Mordor.
