Oh the Death Note fandom... :D When they're not killing each other in Belgium, there are some decent stories and artwork out there. I can't prove it, but I remain of the opinion that the novels based on Death Note were originally fan works!

I'm like you, I wanted more when it was finished. It was recommended to me by a friend, so I thought I'd just check out the first one. That was my life on hold until I reached the end of the last chapter.

I love Death Note. It hasn't moved from number 1 in my top five favorites since I first discovered it a while ago. Not that I'm an avid manga fan, so I haven't read or seen tons and tons. I'm really picky actually, it has to really peak my interest for me to read or watch it. My interest was first captured by the name of Death Note itself, and then they kept me properly hooked the rest of the way through. In fact, I liked it so much when I was finished I had those 'not wanting it to end' moments, and that is how the world of the Death Note fandom managed to capture me. It's been lots of fun so far :D

Brenda - purple is great for dark haired and dark eyed beauties. I think it makes their eyes just pop.. Keep on wearing it if you still have it. I think they had a real pretty blue too that I got at one time. Good stuff.

Katie - these colors will go with so many different skin tones and hair colors. I love to wear my nude and pink colors every day. I usually throw on the darker lip colors if we are going out at night.

I figured that most people finding this will have just been kicked out of Adsense, so I'd just face facts and speak to them directly. From what I've since gathered, I think that might have been liberation, rather than exile. ;)

@NR that seems like a good strategy to me. Diversification is recommended by most who know what they are talking about. Other the past 12 months I have been doing exactly the same. I started before the Panda wotsit thankfully.
I am leaving my hubs where they are, just not producing any more.

@NR by hlping others I help myself. There is no better way to achieve goals than to share the workload around and for everyone to work towards those goals. We all want to earn a living. If I can use my skills to help us all, then I shall.

I'm not yet a disgruntled hubber. I've been a hubber for about 2 1/2 yrs, have over 200 hubs, and should hit my first million views in less than 2 months. I was averaging between $150 & $200 per month, mostly AdSense and a little Amazon before the big crash in Feb 2011. Seems like the things HP did benefitted me. By Oct 2011, I was close to $400 with HP Ads, AS, and Amazon. Dec hit over $500, but Jan was down, and Feb will be too, but that seems to be a normal pattern for me.

I've had a few notices for revision along the way, most of them early on, about the 1 product per 50 words Amazon change. Maybe HP changes benefitted the masses? Maybe the "accidental hubber" like me benefitted, vs the big earners, more saavy to the online game were hit harder for various reasons?

Anyway, that being said, I decided to push myself to diversify. I know everyone recommends building your own sites, but I do not yet have the skills or the time (or the money to hire a webmaster/SEO expert). So I have joined Wizzley, and three other sites, including sunforged’s and oli’s sites. I’m planning to concentrate my primary efforts at Wizzley, then gradually add some stuff to the other sites, as well as an occasional hub.
