These cupcake carriers let you easily transport your cupcakes to bake sales and family gatherings.

Here's a fantastic display of affordable cupcake carriers in a variety of styles. The Progressive International Collapsible Cupcake and Cake Carrier can hold 24 cupcakes in two layers or one standard two layer round cake. As the name implies it flattens out for convenient storage. The Oneida 24-count Cupcake Carrier carries 12 cupcakes in each layer, with the bottom layer being an actual cupcake pan to bake in. So you can bake and transport easily. The Wilton 3-1 Cupcake Carrier lets you carry 12 standard muffins, 24 mini-muffins or a standard sheet cake. If you need to carry just one cupcake to work or school, you'll have that option as well. This selection has you covered from a single cupcake holder through a 12, 24, and 36-cup cupcake carrier.

Finding the perfect cupcake carrier - how to choose.

From Bingo night at the VFW Hall to the fanciest upscale weddings, you'll find cupcakes being served. Some of the cupcakes are just cupcakes with a layer of frosting. Other cupcakes are piled high with frosting and decorations. But the one thing they have in common is a baker who has to take them out of the oven and get them to their destination in one piece!

To get the right cupcake carrier that will meet your needs, you need to know yourself and your cupcakes - or you might indeed need more than one. First, just how big are your cupcakes. Now a few years ago that would have been a simple question. But many bakers today routinely put between one to three inches of frosting on their cupcakes and then decorate that. So when you examine a cupcake carrier, you need to think about the cupcake headroom.

Second how many cupcakes do you usually need to transport - and how strong are you? If your back is healthy and your arms are strong, then a 36-cupcake carrier might just work for you if you make lots of cupcakes for bake sales and church bazaars. However, that's unwieldy and too much weight for my back to carry. So I use 12-cupcake carriers and make 3 trips.

Third, do you make only cupcakes or do you sometimes need to carry a cake as well. Some cupcake carriers convert to cake carriers

Fourth, take note of how the top and bottom latch together. Is it easy to fasten and does it seem secure. If it's got a top handle, the last thing you want to have happen is the top and bottom separating.

Fifth, does the cupcake carrier have a single top handle or does it carry from handles on the side. Think about which is easier for you to personally carry. Me I carry from the top.

Single Cupcake Carriers

My husband loves a cupcake with his lunch. He's often on the road for work and as a self-employed person, he likes to watch his budget. So he usually packs a lunch. To make it more enjoyable I add a cupcake for dessert with his coffee. I found some of these single cupcake carriers, that keep the frosting and cupcake intact. It would be great for school lunches as well.

This is such a great idea! I've just been putting mine in a plain tin - and the icing does get damaged if you put too many cupcakes in.
